Public test plans, old-build play session, and release window
Scars of Honor's next major public test is described as a PvE-focused test planned for the end of the year, while a separate community play session uses an older build from the previous public test cycle.
Old build used for community play
A stream play session is announced for the following Sunday using an older build from the last public test. This build is identified as a 2024-era version centered on PvP battleground content rather than the newer systems under development. It is presented as a way to revisit the previous state of the game before the newer build arrives later in the year.
End-of-year public test focus
The next mass public test is described as taking place at the end of the year and focusing heavily on PvE. PvE is treated as a major priority for the team, with repeated emphasis that it needs to be "nailed" before release.
Work on the druid is highlighted because the game needs healer and tank options to support this PvE direction. The knight is also mentioned as already having a tank-oriented build.
Class availability in the new build
The classes named for the new build are knight, mage, ranger, and druid. These classes are said to be receiving major updates through the talent system, with each class effectively branching into multiple sub-variants that should make them feel substantially different from one another.
Release timing
The intended release window is stated as the end of 2026. A short delay of roughly one to three months is described as acceptable if needed to avoid launching an undercooked product. The stated priority is quality over hitting the target date at all costs.
Progress wipes and persistence
Progress from public tests before early access is expected to be wiped. By contrast, progression made during the official early access period is described as intended to persist.
