Scars of Honor release date

The most important correction is that the project’s timing has been repeatedly described as uncertain. On 2026-04-14, chat was already telling returning players that Early Access was in 2027. On 2026-05-13, an official response said every option was still on the table and there was no clean answer on release timing. By 2026-06-07, chat said early access had been pushed back twice and the date was unknown. The page therefore treats any earlier window as historical context, not a promise.

Players spent much of the spring and summer trying to turn sparse information into a schedule. Some repeated that early access was planned for Q4 2026, while others argued that the game had already slipped into 2027. On 2026-05-15, one player guessed another playtest in about three months and release in the two-to-three-year range; on 2026-06-30, another guessed end of 2027 or early 2028 for early access. These were player guesses, not developer commitments. The community also repeatedly asked whether the game was released, in early access, or playable at all, and moderators or team-facing replies kept saying there was no release date announced.

The sources consistently distinguish early access from the actual release. In the January 2026 knowledge snippets, version 1.0 is treated as the real release, while early access is a pre-release phase that lets players enter before 1.0. The same material says the game is free-to-play, so paid early access was rejected because it would either create pay-to-win concerns or force a wipe that would invalidate purchases. Later official and recap snippets repeat that early access should be free for everyone. That means a reader asking “when does Scars of Honor come out” should separate three different things: the April 2026 technical playtest, the later early access phase, and the eventual 1.0 release. Only the first of those had a concrete calendar window in the snippets.

This page can document the timing conversation, but it cannot manufacture a date that the developers never announced. The strongest supported facts are that Scars of Honor had early access windows discussed in 2025 and early 2026, then those windows were walked back or made uncertain in later community and official updates. The game is unreleased, and no release date has been announced. If a future announcement appears, it should be added as a dated developer statement rather than inferred from chat.

Four Beast Burst posts and one on-record interview carry every dated statement the studio made about timing this year. None of them is a release date.

13 February 2026 — PC Focus Update. The studio committed to shipping PC first and postponed the mobile version, stating plainly that “this does not mean we are cancelling the mobile version. It remains part of our long-term vision”, and reframing mobile as “a later-stage expansion once the PC version is released and stable”. No launch window was attached to either platform.

11 March 2026 — Steam Playtest — April 30 to May 11. The test window was announced with access granted in waves, and framed explicitly as “a technical playtest, meaning some systems are still being tested and refined”. A test date is not a release date, and the post did not present it as one.

5 June 2026 — The Technical Alpha Ended. The recap reported players from 165 countries, acknowledged that “servers struggled under the massive number of players joining the game”, and said creative director Venelin Vasilev’s team was revisiting all major gameplay pillars — movement, combat, quests and gathering. Again, no date.

30 June 2026 — interview with Mein-MMO. This is the only on-record developer statement about the window, and it is a walk-back: “As much as we originally aimed for an Early Access launch in late 2026, based on everything we’ve learned from our recent testing and the work still ahead of us, we currently believe that 2027 is a more realistic target.”

17–18 July 2026. The July development update stated the game will not release in 2026 and will ship when it is ready. The Building Scars of Honor Together post that followed set out the next steps — a combat and movement rework, and the FirstWatch testing programme — without attaching a schedule to either.

So: Early Access is estimated Q1 2027, and there is no official date. The Q1 2027 figure circulates widely on fan sites, which trace it to a remark on the studio CEO’s Twitch channel rather than to any Beast Burst post — treat it as an estimate, because that is all it is. What the studio has actually published is narrower and less quotable: not 2026, 2027 is “more realistic”, and no commitment beyond that. Any page that gives you a firmer answer than this one is not working from a source you can check.
