Social hangout goals for Scars of Honor

Scars of Honor is described as aiming for a world that supports social presence beyond task completion.

A world meant for lingering

One stated goal is to create places where players want to remain even when they are not actively pursuing progression. The example given is the ability to sit around a campfire and chat with friends. This is presented as a marker of success for the world itself: if players want to stay in it casually, then it has become a pleasant and believable social space.

Beyond chores and routine loops

Daily tasks, quests, dungeons, and loot are acknowledged as important parts of an MMORPG, but they are not treated as sufficient on their own. The intended design direction is that these activities should not be the only reason to log in.

The broader aim is for Scars of Honor to function not just as a progression treadmill, but as a place where social interaction and shared downtime are valuable in themselves.
