Guild strongholds over personal housing

Personal housing is discussed as a feature that is not planned in the presented design direction. The stated concern is not only development cost, but also the social effect of encouraging players to retreat into isolated personal spaces.

Social focus

Scars of Honor is framed as an MMORPG that should emphasize shared spaces and collective activity rather than private, self-contained play. Personal housing is seen as potentially pulling players into their own internal bubble instead of reinforcing the multiplayer character of the game.

Guild strongholds

As an alternative, guild strongholds are preferred. These are described as communal places where larger groups can gather, acquire land, and work together on expansion and improvement.

The concept includes growing a guild base over time and strengthening it as a shared project. Cosmetic monetization is also mentioned in connection with guild strongholds, allowing visual customization for the guild environment without changing the underlying social emphasis.
