Early website art and the transition to a studio project

After the name was chosen, one of the next steps was to commission artwork for the project's early presentation. At that stage, the work is described as involving three people: the creator, his wife, and an artist based in Chile.

First commissioned materials

The commissioned artist produced some of the earliest visual materials associated with Scars of Honor. These included website elements such as banners and faction-related artwork, as well as what is identified as the first-ever Scars of Honor wallpaper. The domain for the project was purchased immediately after the name was finalized, and the early art was tied closely to that first web presence.

Relationship to later studio development

Some of the artwork shown is described as predating the formation of Beast Burst Entertainment. At the beginning, the project was not yet conceived as a full game studio venture. Later pieces were commissioned after the studio had been formally established, and two artworks are identified as the first purchases made under the studio rather than by the creator personally.

This places the early art in a transitional period between a personal hobby-style project and a more organized studio production.

Early race and faction visual concepts

The first wallpaper included several race or faction depictions. Some are described as remaining relatively close to their original concepts, including the Inferno Demon and Sun Elves, while the Orc is said to have changed substantially over time. The Human design is characterized as more conventional. These comments indicate that the earliest promotional art served as a starting point rather than a final visual standard for all playable peoples or factions.
