PC-first mobile cross-play and service plans

Scars of Honor is described as a PC-first MMORPG with a mobile client designed as an additional way to access the same game. The project is presented as fully cross-play, with PC remaining the main design priority.

PC-first with mobile as a companion platform

The mobile version is described as an addition to the PC game rather than a separate design target that defines the whole project. Its intended use includes continuing activities away from a desktop or laptop, such as gathering or helping with group tasks while traveling.

The team states that players can also attempt more demanding activities on mobile if they choose, including PvP, but repeatedly emphasizes that the core focus remains the PC experience.

Cross-play purpose

Cross-play is framed as both a convenience feature and a population strategy. The studio argues that MMORPGs depend on large active populations, and that opening the game to mobile players should help maintain healthier player counts.

A larger player base is presented as beneficial for the MMO experience as a whole, making the world feel more populated and improving access to social and group content.

Release priority and simultaneous launch goal

The preferred outcome is said to be a simultaneous PC and mobile release. However, if that is not possible, the PC version is stated to come first.

Steam plans

A Steam release is described as planned, but the team says it wants to approach that platform only when the client and major systems are in a more polished state.

Regions and localization

The studio says the game needs local servers in major regions, specifically naming the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Regional hosting is presented as necessary for community growth and acceptable service quality.

On localization, the stated goal is full translation coverage for supported languages, including interface text, quests, and voiced content where available. Voice-over in multiple languages is described as desirable but difficult and expensive, especially because it requires suitable voice actors rather than simple text conversion.

PvE and future content timing

The team confirms that dungeons and raids are planned and describes them as essential to the MMO format. Work on them is said to be underway, with a future reveal expected later rather than in this showcase.

Guilds and large-scale PvP timing

Battlegrounds and arenas are described as definite plans. Larger-scale PvP and guild systems are also intended, but the team says technical limits must be established first, especially because the game also targets mobile hardware.

Guilds are described as requiring careful design so that they become meaningful social structures rather than only a colored name tag. The exact version in which guild functionality will arrive is not confirmed.

Future classes and launch scope

The studio says it plans for ten classes overall, while noting that not all may be ready by release. The next class identified for focused development is the druid, which is described as opening design space for shapeshifting, companions, and broader gameplay variety.

Other classes such as pirate and necromancer are discussed as especially important differentiators, but also as classes the team does not want to rush before their mechanics, visuals, and combat feel meet a higher standard.
