Alpha test access and server rollout
The recording also outlines practical details for the upcoming technical alpha test.
Test timing and access method
The official playtest is scheduled to begin on 30 April. Access is requested through the game's Steam page by wishlisting the game and using Steam's participation request function.
The test is described as a technical alpha rather than a content-complete release. The developers explicitly frame it as an early and unfinished state of the game, intended for feedback and issue discovery rather than polished first impressions.
Server setup and regional availability
For the upcoming test, the planned server distribution is six servers for the United States and three servers for Europe. Players are advised to choose the server with the lowest latency.
The login flow shown includes an updated authentication panel and a server list after successful account login.
Gradual admission and limited test scope
The team reports more than 110,000 access requests at the time of the recording. Because of that demand, access is not intended to be granted to everyone immediately on the first day. Admission is planned as a gradual rollout to avoid overloading the servers.
The test itself is also limited in scope, with only one zone active for players during this phase.
Key distribution and creator support
Additional access keys are planned to be distributed through livestreams and through creators covering the game. The host states that keys will be given out regularly during streams, and that other creators focused on Scars of Honor will also receive batches of keys to share with their audiences.
Test expectations
The developers stress that the purpose of the test is to gather feedback, identify bugs, and expose balance problems. Builds that appear dominant during the test are not treated as final design outcomes, but as signals that tuning and optimization are still needed.
