Dungeon links to professions and gearing
Scars of Honor links professions to dungeon play through materials and endgame item progression. Crafting draws not only on open-world gathering but also on combat drops tied to harder PvE content.
Dungeon materials and creature drops
The game may include some raw gathering nodes inside dungeons, although this direction is described as still under consideration. The clearer connection is through creature drops. Certain crafting ingredients come from enemies rather than from gathering minigames, and some of those materials are expected to be found in greater abundance in dungeons.
This means crafting recipes can require players to defeat specific creatures in addition to collecting wood, ore, fish, or other gathered resources.
Endgame gearing direction
The likely direction for top-end gear is a combination of several activities: gathering, defeating the toughest enemies, and then crafting with the resulting materials. Fully crafted best-in-slot equipment is not framed as a purely isolated profession path, but as part of a broader PvE progression loop.
At the same time, the game is intended to offer alternatives for players who do not want to spend heavily on profession gameplay. Such players are expected to be able to get close to the top through other means, including combat-focused progression and trade, even if the absolute best items still involve crafting inputs.
