Movement, gliding, and swimming
Movement receives substantial attention in the July 2026 update, with the developers describing it as one of the first major systems to be reworked after the technical alpha. They say player feedback pointed to movement feeling too slow, too clunky, or too limited in the earlier test.
Movement changes
The updated movement aims to be faster and more responsive, with improved control for both melee and ranged characters. The studio also mentions work on animation improvements and NPC movement, including a new AI approach that spreads enemies out instead of clustering them in one place.
Gliding
Gliding is introduced as a universal movement feature rather than a class-specific one. It is described as a mini-game-like system that adds verticality and gives players more control when moving through the world or landing in combat situations. The developers say the first version is only a starting point and that additional glider types may be added later if the system proves successful.
Swimming
Swimming is also being revised. The developers say water is not intended to be a combat space and should instead function as a hazard that can drown the player. The prototype shown includes full directional swimming control and a drowning bar, with the studio indicating that combat in water is being avoided for now.
Camera and controls
The update also includes camera changes such as zoom in and zoom out. The team says it is exploring an optional action camera and other control refinements so that combat and movement feel more direct and less like older MMO interfaces.
