Classes planned for the next public test
The next public test is described as featuring a defined set of playable classes, with several others still under consideration. The confirmed lineup in the captions is druid, mage, paladin, and ranger.
Confirmed classes
The classes stated as confirmed for the next public test are:
- Druid
- Mage
- Paladin
- Ranger
These classes are also said to be receiving many new abilities for the test build.
Knight renamed to Paladin
The class previously referred to as Knight is described as moving toward the name Paladin. The change is presented as an active naming decision rather than a lore rewrite.
The captions also note that some players prefer Knight because it feels less similar to class naming used in other MMORPGs, while Paladin may be clearer to a broader audience.
Possible additional classes
Warrior is described as a possible addition to the next public test, but not as fully confirmed at the time of the recording. Priest is also discussed as a strong candidate.
Priest is characterized as one of the easier classes to develop and as an important core archetype. Even so, its inclusion in that specific test window is not confirmed in the captions.
Release-window classes held back from testing
Pirate and Necromancer are described as classes intended for release rather than for the next public test. The stated reasoning is to reserve some of the most anticipated class reveals for launch.
These two classes are singled out as especially awaited by the community.
Role expectations and support options
The classic tank, damage dealer, and healer structure is treated as the default party model for dungeon content. Within that framework, support and healing options are expected across multiple classes.
The Witch class is mentioned separately as a class that can likely function as a healer or support class, potentially using mechanics such as life steal. This is attributed to existing design documents rather than a finalized public implementation.
Build identity within classes
Although the class roster is fixed, each class is described as supporting many builds through the talent system rather than being divided into narrow, locked specializations. The intended identity of a class therefore comes from both its base kit and its talent choices.
This means the same class can be built in multiple directions without being restricted to a single predefined spec.
