Druid caster form reveal
The recording includes a first public look at the druid's caster form in 3D. The form is presented as one of the outcomes of prior community voting on druid visuals.
The druid is described as one of the most expensive classes to produce from an art standpoint because its transformation mechanics require multiple distinct character forms. Each form needs its own modeling, rigging, animation, visual effects, and sound work.
Multiple druid forms
The druid's production cost is linked to at least three visual states discussed in the recording:
- the base druid character
- a large tank form
- the newly shown caster form
The tank form is described as a substantial asset in its own right rather than a minor variation. The caster form is likewise treated as a fully new design.
Caster form presentation
The caster form shown on screen is already a 3D model. Some straight or extended elements visible in the presentation are identified as posing choices for asset display rather than final in-game behavior. Cloth, tails, and similar parts may be posed straight in preview images so they can later be animated or given physics.
The planned visual treatment for the caster form appears to rely mainly on emissive texture elements. Additional effects such as leaves falling from the form while moving are mentioned as a desirable extra, but not as a confirmed feature.
Community response
The caster form is presented as a notable reveal, and the reaction described in the recording is strongly positive. The form is explicitly tied to community-selected visual direction, reinforcing that at least some class-form presentation is shaped by player voting.
