Paladin visuals, armor presentation, and race model previews

Alongside the Paladin talent discussion, the showcase includes comments on character visuals, armor presentation, and several race model previews. Much of this material is presented as in-development and not yet final.

Paladin combat visuals and character rendering

The Paladin's current combat animations and some spell visuals are described as below the desired standard. Melee strike timing, animation blending, and certain effects are still being revised.

At the same time, the character rendering itself is said to have improved, particularly in material response and metallic surface detail. Even in a Unity-based development view rather than a full build, the armor is described as showing more depth than in earlier presentations.

Armor direction

New armor work is described as moving beyond simple texture swaps. The stated goal is for armor to change the silhouette and visual presence of characters more meaningfully. This is presented as more demanding for the character pipeline, but worthwhile for stronger class presentation.

A new Paladin armor set is mentioned, though the specific set shown in the captions is not clearly identified (caption unclear). Additional new armor work for the Warrior is also briefly previewed.

Capes are confirmed to exist, although no cape item is successfully equipped during the showcase.

Placeholder creatures and development assets

One enemy encountered during the demonstration uses spider configuration with a skeleton visual model. This is identified as a placeholder mismatch rather than intended creature design.

The stream repeatedly emphasizes that the build contains temporary assets, incomplete translations, and unfinished presentation elements.

Female elf model preview

A female elf model is shown in an early state, without final hair or full presentation polish. The model is said to be in progress rather than already implemented in the live game build. Further customization work is expected before release.

The elf race is described as actively being developed, with the female model already in internal progress.

Orc model preview

A male orc model is also previewed. The model follows a large, bulky interpretation consistent with other physically imposing races in the game, such as Grontar and Baron.

A contrasting idea is discussed about whether the game might also benefit from smaller, more crooked or sneaky race silhouettes, but this is framed as a broader aesthetic thought rather than a replacement for the showcased orc. The existing orc direction remains the large, muscular version.

Other race notes

Baron is said to already exist in the game internally, though it is not shown during this showcase because its posing and animation presentation are not yet ready.

The male orc and female elf are both described as active areas of progress, and the future female orc and male elf are mentioned as anticipated additions.

Visual readability in combat

There is also discussion of using visuals to communicate gameplay state. One example is the idea that enhanced versions of Avatar of Sanctification could have more pronounced wings or other visual upgrades, helping opponents recognize whether a Paladin is using a more powerful version of the transformation. This is presented as a potentially valuable readability feature if production time allows.
