Armor updates, race remakes, and future playable races
A large visual update is described for Scars of Honor's character presentation, including revised armor concepts, remade race models, and new creature families for upcoming tests. The art direction shown is presented as a substantial upgrade over earlier public material.
Armor concepts and visual upgrades
New armor sets are shown as part of a concept slideshow for the next build. The armors are described as significantly more detailed than earlier versions, with emphasis placed on improved surface detail and overall presentation. The druid receives particular attention because of its importance to the next PvE-focused public test.
Full race remakes
Every playable race is described as having been recreated from scratch. This includes new character models as well as renewed work on stance, movement, and animation. The remade versions are positioned as a major visual step forward from the older public builds.
For the upcoming public test, the races expected to be playable are described as Human, Undead, Dwarf, and Infernal Demon (inferred from context, as the wording is tentative). All races are still expected to appear in their remade form by release.
Planned race count at release
The intended launch lineup is stated as eight playable races in total: four aligned with the Domination and four aligned with the Sacred Order.
Future small races
Two additional post-launch races are discussed as future plans, one for each faction. Both are described as small, furry races. One future Domination race is explicitly identified as rat-like humanoids. The Sacred Order counterpart is teased as cat-like rather than simply a cat.
These races are framed as an attempt to broaden the game's appeal beyond the heavier, more overtly dangerous silhouettes already present in the roster. Goblins and gnomes are rejected as too conventional for this purpose.
Player race preferences in prior testing
The Infernal Demon is identified as the most-played race in the last public test. Gronthar and Baron are also described as especially popular choices. This popularity is used to support the idea that players respond strongly to races that feel visually distinct from standard MMO archetypes.
